CV : Is Co-Principal Investigator for Requirements Analysis and Identification of User Scenarios in the project Sustaining Heritage Access through Multivalent ArchiviNg (SHAMAN).She is also involved in repository design, audit research (e.g., DRAMBORA) as part of DigitalPreservationEurope (DPE) and has contributed to usage models research within the Preservation and Long-term Access through NETworked Services (Planets) project. Perla has a background as a researcher specialising in information systems for industrial design and as a digital librarian at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, where she coordinated digital library, digitization and library portal projects. She has worked as a consultant and collaborator in digital libraries and e-learning projects.

CV : Was Head of the Research and Technological Development Department at the CVCE. His main responsibility is related to the research and development of multimedia, multisource and multilingual knowledge bases in a scientific and cultural context. One of the most notable achievements under his direction is the development of Multimedia Content Explorer (MCE), an innovative application which provides the platform for the CVCE’s flagship service, the European NAvigator (ENA) knowledge base (www.ena.lu). He has a longstanding experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and has always kept a close relationship to the end user community. He has furthermore introduced concepts for 3D representation of data and for advanced interactive, multimedia kiosks with wide touch screens for cultural and scientific object representation. His particular fields of interest are rich interface, 3D representation and computer applications to Cultural Heritage, and in particular 3D modelling and visualization issues, both theory and applied research, databases and standardization.

Vincenzo CARDILE

CV : Vincenzo Cardile est né dans un village de Sicile au pied de l’Etna, qu’il quitte pour poursuivre ses études universitaires à Florence. Après avoir exercé à Nice en tant qu’architecte, le souffle du 11 septembre 2001 le pousse jusqu’au Luxembourg, où il s’installe trois jours plus tard. Il y travaille comme responsable multimédia au sein de l’Office des publications des Communautés européennes et ensuite comme photographe/graphiste pour une société publique. Depuis 2008 il poursuit sa professionnalisation dans le reportage-photo. il entreprend ainsi une fébrile activité qui le mène à réaliser plusieurs reportages, notamment au Mali.
